"AI agent" sounds complicated. It's three parts. That's it.
Part 1 — A trigger
Something happens: a lead fills a form, an email arrives, a date approaches.
Part 2 — A brain
The AI reads the context and makes one decision: qualify, sort, draft, summarise, flag.
Part 3 — An action
It sends, saves, tags, schedules — or hands to a human for approval.
Example from my business
Enquiry arrives (trigger) → agent tags ready / not-ready (brain) → sorted queue with a drafted reply for my team (action).
The rule that keeps it safe
Agents prepare, humans approve. Anything client-facing needs a human yes.
